The annual dinner auction benefiting Folsom’s Twin Lakes Food Bank that has grown into a popular and significant fundraiser for the organization is moving online this year to allow for easy social distancing.

Folsom’s Twin Lakes Food Bank hosted its annual back-to-school event on Monday, providing nearly 200 local students with supplies to start the school year. Supplies included backpacks; Target gift cards to help buy shoes; a bag of groceries with peanut butter, jelly, bread, trail mix and other youth-oriented food. Twin Lakes Food Bank has to take some new measures due to the coronavirus. For two weeks they\’re going to be doing a drive through experience, so people don\’t get out of their cars. They are also asking people to stop hording things. Grocery stores are connected to food banks, so the excess food gets donated to them, which makes it possible for them to run… They\’re getting super impacted by this and at a time where people need it most.
